SCRUFF will ask you a few simple questions as you fill out your profile. You can select up to five preferred types of guys: bears, guys next door, geeks, military, daddies, college guys, etc. This makes it easy for SCRUFF to match you with the right guys so you’re not wasting any time. After that, you’ll need to provide an email and create a password to complete the signup process. From there you can add height, weight, ethnicity, communities and interests to your profile. The photo you upload needs to show your face.

You can check out local guys or view matches from all over the world. The free version gives you up to 100 local matches and 40 global matches per day. Meeting guys is fun on SCRUFF. It’s easy to use, and you get zero spam.
Hit the browse button to find a good amount of guys that you can browse for free. Tap the photo of any match to message them. You can learn a little more about each match on their profile. You can send a message, a photo or even a video of yourself. SCRUFF also offers a Tinder-like matching platform called SCRUFFMATCH. As photos of guys pop up, you can choose “Not for me” or “I’m interested”.

You are limited to the amount of guys you can view on SCRUFFMATCH. SCRUFFMATCH only lets you view a handful of guys. Once you reach that limit, you won’t be able to message guys for 24 hours. You can, however, still browse guys and message them there. A fun thing SCRUFF offers that other apps don’t is SCRUFFVENTURE; it gives you a list of other cities around you, for example, if you live in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Palm Springs, Las Vegas are all accessible through the app. Once you click on a city, a list of guys will popup that are in that city and online right now waiting for you to contact them. You can filter by, gay and bisexual for free. To filter by, height, age, weight,ethnicity, sex preferences, view who was last online, you’ll need to upgrade to PRO.

The communication is easy. Once you create a profile you can start talking to guys right away. If you’re new to a city or just don’t know what to do or where to go, you can check out nearby events by clicking on the Leather button. The Leather button will be different, depending on the city you are in. It will give you a list of all the events happening that day or the days and months to come. You can also see all the SCRUFF users that will be attending these events and you can shoot them a message to meet up. SCRUFF helps you talk to guys in many ways from browsing, matching, and checking out events to see who’ll be there. This is a great communication tool to use.
